A Four Point Insurance Inspection is often required by insurance companies on older homes to determine their eligibility for insurance. These inspections help insurance companies answer questions about the home and can help you get discounts that far exceed the cost of the report. This involves a ROOF, PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL and A/C SYSTEMS condition check and an estimated remaining useful life of 3 to 5 years is required.
It is important to note that a 4-Point Inspection is not a replacement for a full home inspection. This inspection helps the insurance company determine if the home is insurable. In addition to a written report, the inspector will take photos of each of the major systems to provide to the insurance company. We recommend contacting the insurance company when considering ordering our services.
This is when a certified inspector checks your home’s wind-resistant features. These features can be anything from door/window coverings to the way your roof is attached to your home to how your roof is sealed to prevent water from entering. Florida law requires insurance companies to provide refunds & discounts to homeowners. Discounts are good for up to 5 years. You can get significant saving & refunds in homeowners insurance premiums.
It is important to note that similar to a 4-Point Inspection, a Wind Mitigation is not a substitute for a full home inspection. Our inspectors will look for features or additions that will reduce the amount of damage to the home in the event of a hurricane, or severe storm. Once the homeowner has received a Wind Mitigation report they can provide this report to their insurer and receive discounts on their insurance.
We offer the option to take Mold Samples, these are used to identify any mold health hazards to protect your investment and your family. We perform a visual inspection of conditions that can cause mold and look for mold on site. We look for evidence of current mold or past mold growth. We can then take mold samples that are sent off to a laboratory for assessment.
It is critical that our inspectors look for sources of moisture, or leaks that can lead to mold growth. Inspectors Inc does not conduct Mold Remediation or Removal. If you need Mold removed from the property we would strongly recommend you contacting a third-party Mold Removal company.
